Focus Group (reflecting on Interview Questions)

 Focus Group Once completing all pre-production stages of my project, I decided to hold a focus group to reflect on my interview questions; whether these were appropriate, to gather audience feedback and see if they believed it would be beneficial to add or take away any of the questions I was planning. Being able to talk with my peers who are doing completely different topics is extremely refreshing and allows me to thoroughly visualise my audience. Through doing this focus group, I aim to:  -Collect feedback on my interview questions (Are they suitable? Research into local theatre companies

 Research into local theatre companies As my documentary is based on Musical Theatre in the North East, it is incredibly important to see what already is on offer for young performers and whether these organisations are enough. From just a quick google search, the predominant companies that stand out are: -Northern Stage -Alphabetti -Centre Stage -Southpaw -Live Theatre -South Tyneside academy of Musical Performance There are a multitude of different groups based across the entirety  of the North East, which makes me believe that my documentary may be more positive than I originally thought.  Coming back to this research once my primary interviews were completed, it was evident that these theatre companies are providing local theatre lovers with experience and a taste of the industry.
