 Audience Profile What is an audience profile? This entails being able to define who the audience of a product is through facts, information and information. It unlocks audience behaviour, which will in turn aid in helping a company or business in nailing down the perfect product for them. For my documentary, I want to establish a targeted audience, which will obviously fit into the 16-25 years age category. This will allow me to customise the content and what is shown to what people interested in musical theatre will like.   Demographics: 16-25 years old Location: North East 68% Female 32% Male Education: No experience / Entry level / Amateur  Psychographics: Interested in musicals Studying a musical theatre course Consumes a lot of media (Netflix, YouTube etc.) From the North East Being part of a community Attending shows / concerts  Performing

  Audience Research To further my research into the target audience, I conducted a survey to recognise the likes and dislikes of those that fit into the age category. This information helps form a more audience-centric product, which prioritises and caters to them. Without this information, I would lack knowledge of how connected people are with my chosen topic of culture, with no concept of what will appeal to them. To begin learning more about my audience, I conducted a survey to establish more precise demographics and psychographics. All of the respondents fit into the age category given by the brief, which is extremely helpful as all of the answers I can take into account. The second question being 'Are you interested in Musical Theatre' fetched results that differed slightly, but results that I can explore. As 70% of those who responded said 'yes', I can see what it is that makes them interested and if it is impacted by being from the North East. 20% of respondents...

Client Research This project was given by the organisation Sunderland Culture, who aim to unite and engage young people, encouraging them to express their own regional identity. They formed in 2016, in a partnership set up by Sunderland city council. Sunderland Culture wants to unite "Sunderland's most important cultural assets and activities". Through culture, they want to improve the lives of those who live in the Sunderland area. They have the investment of three main founding partners: Sunderland City Council, University of Sunderland and the Music, Arts and Culture trust.
